October, 2021
In October, we supported the Monroe County American Legion Honor Guard. This organization’s purpose is to raise awareness of the military honor funeral services that are available to veterans and to provide those funeral services. Often times, veterans do not receive the military honors they have earned because their families are unaware of the services available or that they exist. The “Final Salute” consists of prayer, the firing of the rifles, the sounding of taps, and the folding and presenting of the American Flag under which the veteran served.
