CREDITORS' RIGHTS PARALEGAL
This position reports to our Rochester, NY location
Underberg & Kessler LLP has an opening for a Paralegal supporting attorneys in the Creditor’s Rights practice group in the Firm’s Rochester, NY office.
Candidates applying should have a minimum of two years of paralegal experience or equivalent experience working with commercial lenders. This position is responsible for drafting and filing motions, notices, proofs of claim, communicating with and drafting legal correspondence to debtors, creditors, clients, opposing counsel and the court, as well as preparing complaints, tracking critical dates, managing calendars and task lists and e-filings with the court and county offices. This individual is expected to take a lead role in administrative and paralegal duties in connection with supporting the Firm’s health care and financial institutional clients and be proactive in following up on matters with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate is familiar with FDCPA and HIPAA, is comfortable organizing and coordinating a high volume of time-sensitive matters and strives to submit flawless work product. Must have excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and appropriate decision-making skills. Prior collections or bankruptcy experience is a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000-$75,000 and will be determined based on prior relevant experience.
