CORPORATE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of three years of experience to join our Corporate Practice Group in our Rochester, NY office.  Candidates should have a working knowledge of corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, and governance and compliance issues, the ability to assist in the formation of business entities, including limited liability companies, profit and non-profit corporations, lending transactions, and negotiation of commitment letters, commercial loan documents, and the review of due diligence items.  Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York State, be highly motivated, comfortable meeting with clients and developing business, and have strong research and computer skills.

 

GENERAL PRACTICE ATTORNEY
We are seeking an experienced general practice attorney to join our Canandaigua, NY office. Applicants must be admitted to practice in New York State and have active experience handling residential and commercial real estate transactions, trust and estate, and general business matters. The successful candidate is highly motivated, has an existing book of business, exercises sound business and legal judgment, effectively manages client relationships, has strong business development skills and is motivated to grow his or her practice, possesses superb written and verbal communication skills, and values and thrives in a collaborative and collegial environment. 

 

RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
We have an opening for an attorney in our Residential Real Estate Practice Group in Rochester, NY.  Our team provides legal services for clients in commercial and residential real estate purchases and sales, financing, leasing, and related matters.  Qualified candidates must be admitted to practice in New York State and have a minimum of two years of experience with residential real estate transactions, including mortgage lending. This position is responsible for ensuring legal compliance with a strong background managing non-attorney closing personnel required, familiarity with closing software, and the ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner. 

 

LEGAL NURSE CONSULTANT
We are seeking an experienced RN to support attorneys with a busy defense litigation practice with an emphasis on medical malpractice and medical negligence. This individual will be responsible for requesting, analyzing, and summarizing medical records for clients, attorneys, and experts; analyzing medical records and billings to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the medical evidence, including pre-existing or co-existing medical conditions; preparing case analysis, identifying issues, omissions, and discrepancies; identifying and providing information regarding medical experts and witnesses; and assisting attorneys with medical evidence preparation and organization for hearing or trial.  In addition to educating legal professionals on medical termination and procedures, this person will also assist in educating clients on risk management issues and concerns. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have strong skills in research, critical thinking, analysis and organization, and demonstrate decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL
We are seeking a Paralegal for our Real Estate Practice Group in Rochester, NY.  Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience working on residential mortgage transactions. This high-energy, detail-oriented professional must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional organizational skills.  Working knowledge of residential document generation programs and/or title report preparation a plus.

 

TRUSTS & ESTATES PARALEGAL
For this position, we are seeking candidates with a two- or four-year degree and/or Paralegal Certificate with a minimum of two years of current work experience handling all aspects of trust and estate administration including, but not limited to, preparing petitions for probate and/or administration; preparing estate and trust accountings; drafting disclaimers and receipt and release documents; preparing asset listings and valuation of assets; preparing fiduciary income tax returns and federal and state estate tax returns; and assisting executors in the marshalling of probate assets. Candidates should possess familiarity with Surrogate’s Court practice responsibilities, such as interpreting Wills and Trust instruments and the filing requirements for estate and trust administration matters. Candidates must also have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a professional and proactive workstyle. We have an opening for an Administrative Assistant for our Real Estate Practice Group in Rochester, NY. Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of residential real estate sales and purchases, must possess exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This high-energy, detail-oriented professional will have sharp organizational skills and be responsible for performing tasks to efficiently assist attorneys and paralegals and provide back-up support, as needed, to other team members.  General responsibilities include, but are not limited to, open and maintain files, calendar matters and appointments; prepare, revise, proofread, and process real estate documentation, including transfer documents, affidavits, agreements and closing statements; and provide excellent client service at all times.  Working knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, mortgage banking, and/or title report preparation a plus.
