Chair of the firm's Estates and Trusts Practice Group, Larry came to us in 1985 with an unusually diverse background. Our clients benefit from his 360-degree perspective on estate planning and administration. As an author on estate planning and Will drafting, he brings authority and a big picture view. As a former Internal Revenue Service Estate and Gift Tax attorney, he has firsthand knowledge of tax issues. And with prior experience as a trust company vice president and manager, he understands the challenges of business.
A 1970 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, Larry has extensive experience in estate planning, trust planning, estate and gift tax matters and probate law. He is a frequent public speaker on these topics.
From hospitals to libraries to legal services, Larry’s community involvement is as diverse as his resume. In the past, he has served as chairman of the Board of St. John's Home and St. John's Home Foundation, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Brighton Memorial Library, chairman of St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, vice chairman of Unity Health Care System Foundation and chairman of the Board of Oak Orchard Legal Services. He also has served on the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Monroe County Bar Association, on the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester, on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Financial Planning and as chairman of the Monroe County Bar Association Bankers-Lawyers Association Committee.
