Underberg & Kessler LLP

As chair of the firm's Litigation Practice Group, Lew brings sensitivity and expertise to the often difficult area of matrimonial and family law. With more than 25 years experience, he represents clients in divorce, custody and support actions, and the negotiation of separation agreements. Lew’s specialty is Collaborative Law, a non-adversarial process that helps save families the pain and expense of protracted court battles through a process of out-of-court settlement.

Because of Lew's long-standing commitment to the law and to his clients, in 2009 he was named a "Leader in Law" by The Daily Record, an award recognizing individuals who are dedicated to their profession and have demonstrated outstanding achievements within their practice.

In addition to his legal practice, Lew is very active in the community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Seneca Waterways Council-Boy Scouts of America, the Mental Health Association, and Rochester Presbyterian Home. He is past president and a current board member of the Fairport Rotary Club, past chairman of the State University of New York College at Brockport Foundation Board, and a member of the Monroe Community College Paralegal Studies Advisory Committee. He has been a lecturer for both the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations.

Lew is a graduate of State University of New York College at Brockport and Western New England College School of Law.
